Hartnett
Lake Lenape section of Andover Twp. - Hartnett, Dr. Kathleen S. age 66 of the Lake Lenape section of Andover Twp., NJ died peacefully Wednesday evening April 27th, 2016 following a long illness. Born and raised in Poughkeepsie, NY, she had resided in the Bronx and Manhattan NY before moving to Andover Twp. twenty three years ago.
Daughter of the late Timothy and Gertrude (Schermerhorn) Sullivan, Kathleen was a graduate and valedictorian of the Arlington H.S. class of 1967 Poughkeepsie, NY. She received her Bachelor's degree in Mathematics' and later earned her PhD in Psychology from Fordham University Bronx, NY. She had a long career as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in New York City and in Newton, NJ for many years. A past President of the NY State Council of Psychology as well as a member of Mensa. She enjoyed needle point and gardening and most of all time with her family.
Survivors include her beloved husband Richard G. Hartnett, her childhood and lifelong friend Susan Hinotsky as well as her many first cousins.
A funeral Mass will be held Monday May 2, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church Sparta, NJ. Visitation will be held Sunday May 1, 2016 from 6-9 PM in the Iliff-Ruggiero Funeral Home #156 Main St. (Rt. 206) Newton, NJ. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to either the Karen Ann Quinlan Hospice www.kare nannquinlanhospice.org, the Father Johns Animal Shelter www.fatherjohnsanimal house.org or Sparta Cancer Center www.regionalcancer care.org On-line condolences to www.iliff-ruggierofuneral home.com
