Michael Faivre

Livermore, CA - Concord, CA

Michael S. Faivre, 45, previously of Poughkeepsie and Wappingers Falls, NY, passed away in California on January 19, 2013, surrounded by his family. He had resided at Windsor Manor rehab since his motorcycle accident in 2008.

He was born on October 8, 1967 in Newburgh, NY, the beloved son of Merritt and Margaret Barnes Faivre.

Michael graduated from Spackenkill High School in 1986. As a child he was a member of the Mid-Hudson Drum and Bugle Corp. marching band, where he played the triple drums.

He moved to California as a young man, and music was a big part of his life. He was a professional drummer and was in various bands giving concerts in the area which he lived.

Michael worked at Bay Area High Reach Scaffold, Inc. first as a rigger and later as a sales estimator.

He is survived by his mother, Margaret Faivre of Highland, NY, his father Merritt and step-mother Judith Markowitz Faivre of Trinity, Fl, and step sister, Alyssa Faivre Ludwin and husband John of Hopewell Jct., NY. He leaves behind his cherished daughter Alexa Faivre of Pleasanton, CA, and was a father figure to Alexa's step sisters, Ashley and Tiffany Hardacre, three brothers, David of Washingtonville, NY, Matthew of Oakland, Ca, and CWO Daniel and wife Kim and their children, Thomas and RaeAnna, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services and burial took place Friday, January 25, 2013 in Livermore, CA.

He will be remembered for his musical talents and being a kind, caring and generous person. Condolences may be made to the family at http://www.aspecialtouchfuneralservice.com/obituaries/Michael-Faivre/

The Lord is my shepard;I shall not want.He maketh me to lie down in green pastures:he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul:he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name`s sake.yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,I will fear no evil:for thou art with me;thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:thou anointest my head with oil;my cup runneth over.Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life:and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

Former manager, Dan Burns, captured Mike best when he said "Michael had an essence that made him stand out as a Favorite where ever he went." At the memorial service, brothers, Dan, Matthew, and I, in our Messages felt He was a success at many careers and had many true friends. You may rest in peace as your biggest success, your Daughter, Alexa is now in college.(Dad)
