Peter Schoderbek, 83

Peter P. Schoderbek of Iowa City, IA died January 19, 2016, after a long battle with leukemia.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, February 13th at 1:00 pm at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Iowa City. The family will greet friends Saturday from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Red Cross or a charity of one's choice. Lensing Funeral & Cremation Service in Iowa City is handling arrangements. www.lensingfuneral.com

At the time of his death he felt that he had had a most fulfilling life and asked that his family and friends celebrate it as such.

My sincere condolences on the passing of Professor Schoderbek, for he will always be a professor to me. I studied under Professor Schoderbek in the Management Department both as an undergraduate student and as a MBA student. He was a brilliant man and a terrific mentor. I sincerely appreciated and respected his guidance and opinion. He influenced me greatly. My sincere condolences.

A wonderful and kind man. My eyes filled with tears when I read that he lost his battle. I've never met anyone that loved morels more than he and I'll miss visiting with him this spring. Peter my friend, I'll be thinking of you when I pick that first morel this season. My condolences to his friends and family.
