Marc Berkley Obituary
Durham, NC: Passed away May 15, 2011, born June 9, 1920 in Binghamton, N.Y. attending schools and technical college in Broome County, NY. Served as a Master Sgt in the US Marine Corp from Sept. 1941 to Nov. 1945, serving three years in the South Pacific during World War II. Transferred to Durham, NC in 1968 as Operations Manager of Amphenol (division of Allied Corp), Durham, NC Plant and retired in 1984 after nearly 30 years of service. Survived by his wife of 65 years, Mrs. Ann Dudek Berkley; two daughters, Marcia Berkley Burdell and her partner, Gary Hinson of Cornelius, NC and Theresa Berkley of Durham, NC; two grandsons, Trey Bass and Jonathan Berkley Bass; a great granddaughter, Taylor Bass and her mother, Stephanie Green. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Durham, NC. A graveside service will be held at Brier Creek Memorial Gardens, 7600 ACC Blvd., Raleigh, NC on Friday at 11:00 am. Arrangements made by the Cremation Society of the Carolinas. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that donations be made to Duke Hospice, 4321 Medical Park Dr, Suite 101, Attn. Development, Durham, NC 27704.

Bud was not only my best loved Uncle, but a dear friend to Joe and I. We vacationed with he and I and visited at each others homes. I will miss his faithful phone calls. Love him, Nancy
