Nabil Mikhael Rouhana
of VestalNabil Mikhael Rouhana, born September 6, 1944, beloved father, brother, and grandfather, passed away on October 8, 2005. His passing is breaking all our hearts. He was predeceased in death by his parents, Mikhael and Adla Rouhana, Amik, Lebanon. He leaves to cherish in his memory two children, Michael Rouhana of Jacksonville, Fla., and Michele Rouhana and her son, Grant, Vestal, N.Y., and her fiance, R.J. Barber. Brothers and sister include Labib, Nazih, and Anis Rouhana and their families residing in Amik, Lebanon; brother, Adib Rouhana and wife, Nicole, Vestal, N.Y.; sisters, Amal Toloczko and husband, Stanley, Las Vegas, Nev., Inaam Talerico and her husband, Paul, Clayton, N.C., and Naoum Rouhana, Orlando, Fla.; stepmother, Marie Rouhana, Binghamton; uncle, Rouhana Rouhana, and his wife, Essaf, Binghamton, N.Y. He is survived by two special nieces in this country, Adla Rouhana, Vestal, N.Y., and Layal Rouhana, Tallahasee, Fla. In addition, Nabil leaves behind several nieces and nephews, including Ziyad, Zane, Zachary, Zoey and Zavien Rouhana, all of Vestal, N.Y., Vincent, Michael and Joseph Talerico, all of Clayton, N.C., and Nicholas and Anthony Toloczko, Las Vegas, Nev., Nabil immigrated to the United States from Lebanon after marrying Dorothy Yaman of Owego, N.Y. Together they worked hard to bring most of the family from Lebanon to have a better life. He worked diligently and sacrificed much to make a better future for his children, his siblings, and his parents. One of his business ventures that was well remembered in our community was the Bargain Place in Apalachin, N.Y. He will most be remembered for his profound generosity and love toward his family and all who knew him.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at the Barber Memorial Home, Inc., 428 Main Street, Johnson City, at 12:30 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church where a Funeral Mass will be offered. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4-8 p.m. at the Barber Memorial Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building foundation of the Church Our Lady of Union and Peace, Amik Lebanon. Donations may be sent to Adib Rouhana, 3128 Briarcliff Ave., Vestal N.Y. 13850.
