Peter Watrous Obituary
Peter S. Watrous, 62, of Hallstead, PA died at his home Monday, June 10, 2013. Pete is survived by his son, Seth Walker Watrous; his friend and former wife, Pamela Walker; his sister and brother-in-law, Janet C. Watrous and Robert C. Kochersberger and their daughter, Anne, Hallstead and Raleigh, NC; sisters, Elly Watrous and her children, Josh and Tish Abelow; Cari Watrous and her husband; brother, Charles Watrous and partner; brother-in-law, Thomas Walker and his children, Joanna and Bowen. Pete had many years enjoying life in Susquehanna County. He was a wise, helpful and generous neighbor and friend to many. Pete's ashes will be scattered on his property on the high meadow at the family's convenience. Arrangements are by the Fischer-Scholder Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Chenango St., Binghamton.

Think of you every day, Pete, especially this time of year when we spent so many hours together on the tractor making hay. I look over the hay waving in my fields and my neighbors and think of you and hold you in my heart.

I was just going through some old hometown photos with a boyhood friend and came across this one of (3rd from left - Pater), me (2nd from left) and others at Camp Tuscarora Boy Scout camp on Operation Snowflake, 1965. My father, Gerald Ansell, MD, and his father were both physicians in the same practice in Binghamton, NY, during the 1960s-1980s. I went to school with his sister, Janet Watrous. The news of Pete's death saddens me greatly. He was my teacher and my mentor and my friend when I was very much in need of a teacher/mentor/friend... I have missed him since he left Knoxville, and am so sorry I will never get a chance to again share thoughts about life with Pete.

Pete you will always be missed. And never forgotten you were a true friend I cherished. Every day we spent together Was a fun one .all the hunting Trips and rides on the ranger and exspecially the spring turkey hunts ,being around you made me a better person so for that I thank you.

Peter was a close friend of mine growing up. We went to school together, played ball, hung out and best of all he took me to the farm on several occasions...In 1999 we got together at our high school reunion and then the next day I had the pleasure to visit him on the farm, to go for a ride in his tractor with my daughters and to meet Pam...My condolences to his family. Pete was a great guy and I will always treasure our time together.
