Ronald Dibble Obituary

Ronald F. Dibble

Endicott - Ronald F. Dibble, 87, of Endicott, passed away on January 1, 2021 after a brief illness. He is predeceased by his loving wife, Margaret W. Dibble; parents, Floyd and Regina Dibble and brother Edward Dibble. He is survived by his children, William Dibble, Eric Dibble, Laura Smith, John (Denise) Dibble and Mark Dibble; grandchildren, Rebecca Dibble, Jessica (Ryan) Sypulski, Melissa (Christian) Scheller, Alan Smith, Mandy Johnson, Sean (Celene) Dibble, Caitlyn (Justin) Kambic and Connor Dibble: great grandchildren, Rylie Johnson, Blake and Dylan Sypulski, Cannon Scheller and Harper Kambic; niece, Corrine (Fred) Willis as well as several other nieces and nephews. Ron attended his tool and die making apprenticeship at Carrier Corporation in Syracuse, eventually to join IBM. He was particularly proud of his work on the Apollo and Space Shuttle programs. He was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club. He enjoyed coaching all of his sons' West Corners Little League teams, and making peanut brittle as the President of the UE Wrestling Booster Club. Ron was a long time member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Endicott, rarely missed mass and assisted for years as an usher, taking up collections and holding open the side door for other parishioners. He will be sorely missed. A Funeral Mass for Ron will be held on Friday at 10 AM at St. Ambrose Church, 203 Washington Ave, Endicott. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City. The family will receive friends on Friday at Church from 8 AM until Mass time at 10 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Ronald Dibble to the Dementia Society of America, P.O. Box 600, Doylestown, PA 18901 or at www.dementiasociety.org/donate.

To all of the Dibble family, Al and I want to express our sadness at Ron's passing. He, and your Mother too, were such good, treasured friends with whom we spent many happy hours. Ron coached our son in Little League and then came making peanut brittle, our monthly dinners with the Miners or at the lake, there were sure to be laughs included in the sharing of our lives events. We were blessed to have such very good friends. Here in Florida, right inside the front door is a cross-stitch your mom made for us, written on the back is a lovely note from your mother. It's one of the very few things I brought down when we moved. We will keep you in our prayers in the hard days ahead and remember both your parents with love and affection.

Please accept my condolences on your family’s loss. I have many fond memories of your dad from our childhood days. He was always smiling and had a way of making everyone feel welcome. May he rest peacefully.

To the family, I am so sorry for your loss; Mr Dibble coached me in little league (Chambers Shoe store) Years later he was a strong supporter of UE wrestling long after his boys had graduated. I will always have good memories about a good man. RIP Coach.
