Walter Gretz Obituary
of ApalachinWalter E. Gretz, 88, of Apalachin, passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2006. Mr. Gretz was predeceased by his wife, Loretta Gretz. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Walter and Linda Gretz, Owego, Norma and Henry Failer, Ormond Beach, Fla., Melody and Bill Fenton, Owego, Dale and Andrea Gretz, Endicott; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchild; brother, Chester Gretz, Lima, N.Y.; sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Robert Vinson, Mo.; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 14, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at the Estey, Munroe & Fahey Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Owego, with his brother, Rev. Chester Gretz officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst, Pa. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Walter E. Gretz's memory to the Apalachin Fire/Emergency Squad, P.O. Box 572, Apalachin, N.Y. 13732.
