Danielle Clark Obituary

CLARK, Danielle Virginia - Precious daughter of Doug and Carol Clark, loving sister of Christopher - 14, and Kathryn - 4. Peacefully passed away early Sunday morning December 30, 2007, from Wilms Tumor, a rare childhood cancer. Danielle loved Jesus and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the Lighthouse Pentecostal Church. Danielle was bright and vibrant and full of life. She was in the first grade, and loved attending school at Taylor Mountain School. She enjoyed ballet and took lessons in Rohnert Park. Baking cookies and cakes with her mom and little sister was very special to her. Danielle and her family enjoyed frequent walks together and trips to the park. Painting, scrap booking, and making and sending cards to family and friends were Danielle's favorite activities. Beloved granddaughter of Mary Cogbill, whom she lovingly referred to as "Nanny". Beloved niece of Ginnie and Steve Deyerle, Bill and Suzie Cogbill, John Cogbill, Cathy and Steve Clark, Margaret and Mark Goldenberg, Paul and Jennifer Cogbill, and many cousins. She loved her family. She especially enjoyed spending time with Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. She lived and loved and was a great blessing to all who know her. Sadly, her life was cut short, but she will live on in our hearts forever. Our beautiful precious little girl, we will always love you. Friends and family are invited to attend Funeral Services on Saturday, January 5, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at DANIELS CHAPEL OF THE ROSES with Pastor Steve Mayfield of Immanuel Baptist Church officiating. Respects may be paid on Saturday, January 5, 2008 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. at Daniels Chapel of the Roses. Interment: Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Santa Rosa, CA. Danielle was smart and eager to learn. She shared things with others that were special to her. She was very proud of her family and loved them beyond words. I am thankful to have known such a brave and beautiful girl.

Doug, Carol, Chris, and Kathryn,
I find words hard to write, however my eyes flood as I try. I thank you Doug and Carol, for allowing your daughters to spend the VBS week with us at Immanuel. All three of your children are precious. Although we know that Danielle is in heaven with Jesus, it will be a long time until tears will not come when I see any of you or think about her.
At VBS, she was voted the most encouraging person and even though she took the most awards, I would have happily given all the others to her as well.
I am thankful for the small amount of time that we spent together as she endured the long wearisome radiation trips. She showed such courage and patience.
Even though I will miss watching her grow up, I thank the Lord, that she no longer is in pain. It was so difficult to see her struggling and not be able to help ease her pain.
I pray that this time of grief and loss will bring you all closer to one another in love.

Doug and Carol,
Words are inadequate to express my feelings for Danielle. It was an honor to be Danielle's teacher. She had such a bright spirit and was so loving. She was loved and will be missed by all the children in our class.

Doug, Carol, Chris and Kathryn - I'm so sorry for your loss. She was a beautiful young girl who had an amazing attitude and was full of life. I remember seeing her at VBS always singing, always smiling and just seemed happy to be there. Never once did she complain or say anything bad about any of the children, she was a leader by example and set a standard for the other children. I'm glad she was able to spend Christmas with you, to be surrounded by her family. I love you all very much and am praying for God's arms to be holding you tight and comforting you as only He can.
