Rick YASUDA Obituary

Born in San Francisco CA on August 15, 1966. Died in Covelo, CA on October 21, 2013. Son of Harold and Yoshiko Yasuda of Petaluma, CA. Survived by his mother, Yoshiko, brothers Michael Yasuda and his wife Cheryl of Swan Valley, ID; Donald Yasuda and his wife Susan of Diamond Springs, CA; sister Sherry of Petaluma, CA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rick attended Wilson Elementary and Petaluma Jr. and Sr. High Schools. He started at Santa Rose Jr. College but then joined the Air Force in 1986. Throughout his military career he served our country at bases in Texas, Idaho, Italy, Maryland, Saudi Arabia, Greece, Saudi Arabia Emirates, California, Honduras, Iceland, Afghanistan (two separate tours), Romania, Turkey, England, Iraq (two separate tours), Qatar,and South Dakota. He retired from the Air Force with the rank of Master Sergeant in 2011 after 25 years of service. He received numerous medals and commendations. Rick loved camping, shooting, wood cutting, riding ATVs, and spending time with family and friends. Funeral service with full military honors will be at Cypress Hill Cemetery on Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11:00 a.m.

Rick was an amazing friend to everyone. He was always there to lend a hand if need be. My son Paul(15) loved talking to him about guns and the military.
