Roberta L. MCCARTHY

MCCARTHY, Roberta L. Passed away on December 16, 2015 in Petaluma at the age 81 years. Devoted wife of Joseph B. McCarthy. Cherished mother of Joseph E. McCarthy and the late Brian K. McCarthy. Beloved grandmother of Daniel J. McCarthy and Kevin G. McCarthy. Adored great-grandmother of Patrick J. McCarthy and Kate S. McCarthy. Loving sister of Wilberta Contreras. Dear granddaughter of the late Rosetta and Robert Garton. Roberta was born in Hopkins, MO, but reared and educated in OR. On May 6, 1952, she married the love of her life, Joseph, and together they enjoyed 63 years of marriage. She loved being a homemaker and raising a family. In her spare time, Roberta enjoyed creating ceramics. Joe even installed a kiln in their garage for all of her projects. As an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 99 in North Bend, OR, she proudly held the point of Esther. Above all, Roberta loved her family. She was a wonderful woman and will be deeply missed. At the family's request, no services will be held. Private inurnment.
