Jan, the guiding light of Braille Club that meets Tuesdays from 10:00 a.m.to 11:30 p.m. at the Janet Gosche Center that meets in Riverside California, will be warmly and lovingly remembered by all. He ran the group with warm, strengths snd humour and made sure that folks like myself were not able to pass political flyers through the Braille Clubb which was intended as a fun, friendly, happy gathering.Jan always dressed very nicely at Braille Club with a jacket and slacks but I am told that sometimes during the summers he wore a nice shirt, shorts and canvas shoes but no sandals and no socks up to knees.
My mother Doris right and I like to visit the braille club and see what's going on with the crafts the singing the exercises sometimes lunches and just general conversation

Riverside Braille Club

Jan stepped forward to lead the sight impaired and blind of the Riverside Braille Club circa 2011 and was still leading us when he left us.
You were a bright shining light for those of us who have vision issues or are altogether blind. You were a very kind, very gentle, very straight forward, very loving man. You loved your Braille Club and the members and other volunteers loved you. You always dressed nicely, the way every man should dress when going out in public.
You are already missed so much Jan. Riverside Braille Club has benefited greatly from having your divine leadership. With that said, Riverside Braille Club will never be the same.
Thank You for all you gave so unselfishly of yourself.
You will remain forever in our hearts, our thoughts and our prayers.
Rest in peace our friend, we take solace in knowing you are back in the arms of your most beloved Anna.

Another angel got his wings, RIP. I met Jan the first day I attended the Riverside Braille Club at Janet Goeske Senior Citizen Center. He was a serious man with a sense of humor, volunteer his time to help others and kept me laughing.
