REBECCA CLANCY Obituary

MURRIETA REBECCA CLANCY While still fighting a courageous battle with Breast Cancer, Rebecca caught the H1N1 flu virus. With a weakened immune system, it was too much for her. On Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, Rebecca passed away from respiratory failure. She will be truly missed. Rebecca was a loving wife, a dedicated mother, a Registered Nurse and a best friend. Rebecca was shy around those she did not know, but once she let you in you could only love her and enjoy her great sense of humor. She loved the holidays, well known for her Halloween parties and Thanksgiving meals. She loved to cook and lived for having family around. She was kind, compassionate, loving and held a deep faith in God. She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Brian Clancy, her daughter Rachel of San Diego, her son Brandon of Murrieta, her mother Naomi Walton of Nashville, TN, her sisters Darlene Sadler of Ocala, FL, Cheryl Zook of Herndon, VA, Karen Kettrey of Nashville, TN, brother David Walton of Barcelona, Spain and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 13th at 9:30 AM at St. Martha Catholic Church in Murrieta. Graveside service will follow at Laurel Murrieta Cemetery. Following all services, friends are invited to join the family for a reception. Memorial gifts and flowers in Rebecca's memory can be made to Murrieta Valley Funeral Home, 24651 Washington Ave., Murrieta, CA 92562 Services Entrusted To: MURRIETA VALLEY FUNERAL HOME (951) 696-0626

I wanted to say thank you to Brian, Rachael, and Brandon for sharing Rabecca with me. When you moved to San Diego from Ohio and I met Rachael I guess we were all looking for new friendships. I was given a whole house of new friends. Spending my time at your home was some of the best memories that I have to this day. I cannot even count all the long talks Rabecca, Rachael and I had.I learnd alot about how a loving family worked. I will never forget those times and an tully saddened by Rabecca's passing. I know she fought a great fight for herself but more for her family. May she now have the peace she deserves.

"When a person you love passes away,
look to the night sky on a clear day.
The star that to you, appears to be bright, Will be your loved one,
Looking upon you during the night.
The lights of heaven are what shows through, as your loved one watches all that you do.
When you feel lonely for the one that you love, look to the Heavens in the night sky above."

We have not lost a person in our lives... we have instead gained a guardian angel in the sky.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during your time of grief. May you Rest In Peace Rebecca... for you will truly never be forgotten.
