Doris Schwartz Obituary
Doris Schwartz 80, of Egg Harbor Township, NJ passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday June 17th. Born in her childhood home on Prospect Ave in Pleasantville, NJ. Doris graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1963. She worked for optometrist Dr. Roy L Soloff for many years before transitioning to a financial assistant for local business. Most recently working for DF Flynn Enterprises before her retirement in 2007. Doris spent her retirement traveling with her late husband Bob Schwartz and especially enjoyed her lunch and dinner group with her lifetime friends. An avid scrabble player, she would routinely beat her sisters and friends but would come out on the losing end against her son Chris in their Wednesday night contests. Fiercely loyal, she never missed anything her sons were involved in, traveling around the area and the country to cheer them on. This loyalty continued following her grandchildren's activities who she loved and adored more than anything. Memom never missed an event if she could help it. Doris is predeceased by her loving mother and father, Dorothy and Robert Worley and her husband and father to her boys, Donald Higbee. She is survived by two sisters Carol Care (late Bill), and Donna Zinckgraf (Charlie), her sons Christopher Higbee (late Ynid), grandson Gabe Higbee, son Robert (Bethany), granddaughters Natalie and Anna Higbee. Friends can call Friday June 27th at 10 a.m. at Wimberg Funeral Home, New Road Linwood, with an 11 a.m. service to follow. Internment at Laurel Memorial Cemetery. Online Memorial Contributions may be made to local chapters of Comfort Keepers or Bayada Agency who cared for Doris with great dignity and respect.
