Passed away peacefully on August 22, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on November 25, 1940, in the cherished neighborhood of Pitney Village in the Ducktown area of Atlantic City. Dr. Welsh carried the values and spirit of his childhood with him throughout his life.

A dedicated physician, Dr. Welsh devoted his career to the well-being of others, earning the respect and gratitude of both his patients and colleagues. His compassion, experience, and unwavering commitment to his profession left a lasting impact on those he served, as well as the medical community at large.

Beyond his professional life, Dr. Welsh was a passionate outdoorsman, initially as an avid fisherman and hunter, and later as a devoted animal lover. He found great joy in nature, often sharing his adventures with fellow enthusiasts. His deep appreciation for the outdoors was only surpassed by the love he held for his family.

Among his most cherished memories were the speial trips to Colorado to visit his sons, Charlie and John. These journeys, often accompanied by his beloved wife, June, daughter Kristen, and grandchildren, were a testament to his deep love for his family and his passion for creating lasting memories. Dr. Welsh's grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he cherished the time spent with them, finding immense joy in their company.

Dr. Welsh's life was one of service, love, and adventure. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and a life well-lived. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is predeceased by his father, Joseph Welsh; his mother, Eleanor (nee Lamusta); as well as his brothers, Edward and Joseph.

He is survived by his devoted wife, June Welsh; his children, Charlie Welsh (Shawn Marie), Kristen Welsh-Capaldi (Shawn), and John Welsh (Kristy), who carry forward his values and spirit; his beloved grandchildren, including Justin Mittleman (Emily), Kevin Mittleman, and Casey Rodriguez; his sisters, Barbara Schoppy and Carol Rifice (Vincent); his sisters-in-law, Caroline Phillips, Charlene Welsh, and Barbara Welsh; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of his grandson, Kevin Mittleman, can be made to organizations dedicated to supporting individuals with disabilities, including Able Acres Farm, Brigantine Adaptive Rowing Club, FACES 4 Autism, Heart of Surfing, SJ Field of Dreams (including Hoops 4 All), and The ARC of Atlantic County.
