Michael Rigolizzo Obituary



RIGOLIZZO, MICHAEL A., 90 - of Hammonton, died on Saturday November 15, 2008 following a brief illness. Born and raised in Hammonton, he was a life long resident. He was the son of the late Joseph Rigolizzo and Maria (nee De Marco) Rigolizzo. He was a graduate of Hammonton High School with the class of 1937. He is predeceased by his wife of 53 years Katherine (nee Ingraldi) Rigolizzo. Mr. Rigolizzo was a respected and successful owner and operator of MAR Farms for 35 years until his retirement in 1975. He was a member of St. Joseph's RC Church. He was active in the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, the Holy Name Society where he served as president and also ushered at Sunday Mass for many years. Upon his retirement he and his wife spent the winter seasons in Hollywood, Florida. Mike enjoyed shuffleboard and competed on the state level. He won the NJ State Champion of Champions Tournament and also the Florida State Championship in men's single division. Mr. Rigolizzo was a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his three children, Michael R. Rigolizzo and his wife Kathleen of Tamarac, FL, Robert A. Rigolizzo and his wife Sandy of Milmay, NJ and Marie Louise Ernst of Plainview, NY; seven grandchildren, one brother, Charles Riggs of Forked River, NJ, his brother-in-law George LoBiondo of Vineland NJ and numerous nieces and nephews. A viewing will be held on Wednesday 11:00 AM at Marinella's Funeral Home 102 N Third Street Hammonton and be followed by a Christian Burial mass at 12-noon in St. Joseph's RC Church, Hammonton, NJ. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Atlantic County Human Services 310 Bellevue Ave, Hammonton, NJ, 08037.

Michael was our next door neighbor, he was a gentleman and a great neighbor. He is now home with the Lord. Our sympathy goes out to his loved ones.
