Patrick Delaney Obituary

Patrick John Delaney

July 21, 1967 - August 12, 2025

Patrick John Delaney, 58, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away suddenly of cardiac arrest on August 12, 2025.

Born on July 21, 1967, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Jack and Joan Delaney, Patrick lived a life marked by hard work, kindness, and devotion to those he loved. He graduated William Penn Charter High School in Philadelphia, where his athletic talent shone brightly as a standout in both football and track and field. His competitive spirit and determination carried into his professional life, where he successfully ran his construction supply company, Warrior Diamond, until his passing.

A lifelong Philadelphia sports enthusiast and devoted Eagles fan, Patrick's pride in his hometown teams was only eclipsed by his deep love for his beloved sons, Patrick James Delaney and Jacob Jack Delaney; daughter, Catherine; and their mother, Jennifer Brady; his sister, Kim Delaney Morgan; and his brothers, Edward and Keith Delaney. He was preceded in death by his brother, John Delaney.

Family and friends are invited to gather for respects this Saturday, August 23rd, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Peter & Paul, 18th Street and Benjamin Franklin Parkway (1723 Race Street), followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery, 626 Baily Road, Yeadon, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Deborah Foundation.
