PETER SCHAEFFER

SCHAEFFER, PETER 24 - Unknown to us, but in the wisdom of his Heavenly Father, Peter completed his journey upon this earth and entered into the fullness of eternal life on September 24. A young man who was gifted as a musician, an artist, a writer and a lover of people, he had a tender heart, sensitive to God's movement in his life. Not unlike most of us, Peter had his struggles with life in a broken world and tried with his tender heart to cope with its ironies. That heart is not silenced, but continues to speak to those who have been and are yet to be touched by it. A bright light in his life is his daughter Summer, and his first love, Katie Lawrence. He is the beloved son of Andrew Schaeffer of Linwood and Judith Schaeffer of Egg Harbor Township and brother to Nicholas and Emily. A 2003 graduate of Mainland High School and active in the Christian community of Seaview Baptist Church, it is within that community that we will celebrate the gift of Peter's life on Friday evening, October 2 at 7:30pm worshipping the Lord who graced Peter with life. Friends may call beginning at 5:00pm. The church home is located at 2025 Shore Road in Linwood. Gifts of remembrance, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Peter P. Schaeffer Memorial Fund to benefit his daughter Summer Haley Schaeffer Lawrence, c/o Edward Jones Investments, 69 Central Square, Linwood, NJ 08221. Interment will be at a later date.
