Robert Schumacker Obituary
82 of Brigantine, NJ passed away on August 16, 2025 surrounded by family. Son of the late Stanley and Marie (Hatch) Schumacker of Venice Park, NJ, was the first baby born on January 1, 1943. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Stanley Jr., Jeannie and son, Mark Schumacker. He graduated from Atlantic City High School, worked for the Atlantic City Fire Department for 30 years. Robert is survived by his wife, Linda of 30 years; his children, Donna (Mike) of Rotunda West, FL, Robert Jr. of Brigantine and David (Karleen) of Port Charlotte, FL; his grandchildren, Nicole, Meghan, Michael, Christopher, Laurie, Stephanie, Jaydon, Devyn, Marisa; his 18 great grandchildren; his sister, Doris and god daughter Kathy. Robert loved spending time with his wife, family, and friends. He loved going to the beach. He was also an avid fan of all of the Philadelphia sports teams, and you could find him watching a game at any given time. His warmth, devotion and generous spirit will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
Visitation of family and friends will take place on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Church, 331 8th Street South, Brigantine, NJ 08203 with a mass following at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. Condolences may be extended to the family at ghwimberg.com.
