One of the nicest people I ever met

February 19, 2013

I will never forget Tommy's kindness. He always had these wonderful summer outside parties that my Mom (Jeanette) and stepfather (Attilio Schiavo)and my children and I attended, as well as all of his family and anyone else who showed up. He made tons of great food and he never thought it was too much for him. We will never forget him - such a wonderful man with such a big heart.

I had the pleasure of living next to Tommy and working for him for a few years. He was a kind man who loved to serve others. I figure right about now he and Blue are returning from their morning walk and he is probably getting ready to cater a luncheon or tend to his new courtyard.

To me he was not just an uncle but a very dear friend. There wasn't anything I couldn't talk to him about and always know he would not judge me but offer his kind understanding. He was always very special and will always have a special place in my heart. I will miss him a lot but find peace in knowing he is in a better place now and has rejoined all his family that he loved so much. God please take of this special man. Amen

Tommy was so dedicated to his wonderful dog Queenie and she was as loyal a friend as anyone could have. We pray she will have a loving new home.

Tommy was such a great guy! He catered our wedding many years ago and gave it such a special touch. My husband, John, had so many funny stories about him! I know he will be sorely missed by all who knew him well.

Jim, Sandy and Jamie, I am sorry for your loss. I know how much you loved him. It seems a lot of us remember him. Adele's niece, Penny, even remembers walking out of Matt's bar and running across the "pike". I remember lots of us going to Uncle Tommy's especially after the baseball games. This was many years ago but some things bring a smile to our hearts. This memory certainly made me recall all of us and those wonderday days of when we were teens. Blessings to you and all those that remember his kind words.

I had the pleasure of working for Tommy at Costantini Caterers throughout the 1990's, waitering wedding receptions, parties and high school proms, setting up/breaking down for parties and much more. Tommy was such a fun person to be around. To me he was a true friend, not just a boss. He was always willing to help out, to volunteer his time for a worthy cause and to make you laugh even during a stressful day on the job. The years I spent working for Tommy were truly some of the most fun times I have ever had at a job and it was all because of his light-hearted demeanor. The City of Egg Harbor City and especially his family and friends have lost a special man who will never be forgotten by those of us who were so fortunate enough to have been able to get to know him.
