Nadine Jensen Obituary

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother Nadine F. Jensen passed away peacefully at her home in Glendale, Idaho at the age of 92. She was the seventh child born to Eli S. and Leona F. Forsgren of Riverdale, Idaho. Living on the family farm, mom learned to work hard at a young age. She attended Preston High School and graduated in 1950. Later that year in September she married her sweetheart, Cecil Jensen. Cecil and Nadine moved to Glendale to start their new lives together as husband and wife on the Jensen farm. They were blessed with four children, Val, Sessilee, Jan and Tod.

Nadine went back to school when her children were almost grown. She earned her teaching degree. Nadine and Cecil loved to travel, they had many fun adventures on their Honda Goldwing, they traveled the seas on many cruises. Together they danced up a storm between the Hyrum Elite Hall, Gold and Green Balls, and teaching kids and adults to dance. Mom loved to golf and even got a hole in one! She loved everyone she golfed with and made lifelong friends with them. Mom loved her flower gardens and working outside in the yard. Mom loved cats and was given the nickname kitty girl by her dad. Mom also loved chocolate, maybe not as much as her cats, though.

Mom was a lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, she held many positions in the church over her lifetime.

Nadine is survived by her children, Val (Marilyn) Jensen of Weston, Idaho, Sessilee (Warren) Choules, of Clifton, Idaho, Jan Olsen of Trenton, Utah and Tod (Cindy) Jensen of Preston, Idaho, her sisters-in-law, Lucile Hall of Kearns, Utah, Colleen Hyer of Lewiston, Utah, Helen Lombardi of St. George, Utah, Sharon Buttars of Franklin, Idaho, Wanda Forsgren of Gilbert, AZ and by 18 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren and her beloved cat DC (aka Dear Cat, Darn Cat or D*** Cat).

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Cecil Jensen, and his parents, 3 grandsons Rick Choules, Bryan Choules and Cory Jensen, by siblings Norma (Curtis) Wadsworth, Yvonne (Farren) Nelson, Marjory Handley, Calvin Forsgren, Vernon (Nova Jean) Forsgren, Luella (Milo) Jepsen, Larry Hyer, Ronald Buttars, BarDee (Keith) Jensen, Evelyn (Bernard) Braddy, David (Mignon) Jensen, Glen (Ruth) Jensen, and sorry if we missed anyone else.

The family of Nadine Jensen wishes to thank the wonderful staff of the FCMC and Dr. Jeffers and his staff for the amazing care and kindness shown to our mom during her visits and stays. We also wish to thank the wonderful staff of the FCMC home health and hospice, for their loving care, kindness and help provided to our mom through this whole process, couldn't have better people helping us through it. To the wonderful ambulance crew who made her last journey home possible - Thank You - we couldn't have done it without you too.
