On Friday, August 6, 2021, our hearts were saddened by the loss of our love one, Mr. Calvin Boone. He was born January 15, 1954 in Petersburg to Mrs. Bernice Claiborne and the late Joseph Jones of Petersburg, VA.
He was preceded in death also by his youngest brothers: Larry Boone and Joseph (Baby Joe) Jones, Jr., brother-in-law, Donald Jones, sister; Joyce brown, and his beautiful oldest daughter, Ms. Cashawda D. Jones.
Calvin (Axe) Boone, better known to his friends as hammer, Axe 3, or Foley was a gentle, very warm hearted free spirit person who loved the kids, and was a die heart race track fan who attended all the ladies nights and drag races.
Mr. Boone attended Petersburg Public Schools and was a dedicated worker of Phillip Morris for 30 years into his retirement. He was a die heart Cowboy fan and always made excuses when they lost. His love will be missed by many. He was always known for giving everyone nicknames that they will cherish forever.

Funeral services for Calvin Boone will be 1PM, Monday, August 16, 2021 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Petersburg, VA, Rev. Eli Melvin, eulogist. Public viewing will be Saturday and Sunday, August 14th, and 15th from 12-7 pm in the chapel.
