MICHAEL POPE Obituary
He leaves to cherish his memory four beautiful children: Zolie Pope of Virginia Beach, Va., Asiaonna Pope and her brother Kamajae Harris of Hopewell, Va., Michael Pope III of Colonial Heights, Va., and Lillian Pope of Petersburg, Va.; his mother, Delna Pope of Colonial Heights, Va.; his father, Michael Pope of Petersburg, Va.; one sister, Petra Pope of Richmond, Va.; one brother, Aaron Pope of Washington, DC; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins, one devoted, Preonca Harris of Petersburg, Va.; and a host of friends.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, December 7, 2017, at the Joseph M. Johnson and Son Funeral Home, 530 S Sycamore Street, Petersburg, Va., with the Rev. Rose Wright Scott officiating. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg, Va.
Final arrangements have been entrusted to the professional staff of the Petersburg Chapel of Joseph M. Johnson & Son Funeral Home, 530 S. Sycamore St., Petersburg, (804) 863-4411.

Daddy i miss you so much... im trying so hard for you. sometimes i feel like im fighting for my life. your funeral was the day BEFORE my birthday... When i say i was hurt i felt like i had nothing else to give. and to be honest I hope god calls me up there soon. i miss you so much, i remember after time i see you i would run up to you to give you hugs and you used to say "daddys babyyyyy". but now i guess god has called you up... I love you.
