Judge Pollard was fair and well respected and it was an honor to be able to testify in his court as a police officer.

As a police officer I was in Mr. Pollard's court on many occasions. Judge Pollard was everything a judge should be, firm, understanding and fair. As a man he was even better than he was as a judge. Rest in Peace, a well deserved rest for a job better than well done.

Judge Pollard molded and shaped me to be the best Commonwealth Attorney that I could be from the onstart of my 27 year career in 1991. Later, Judge D'Alton joined with him in instilling in me the demand for high quality professionalism, prosecution, and trial advocacy that my citizens demanded and deserved! Judge Pollard called me Dragon Lady because I would be tough at times! I loved him for he was my mentor and my inspiration! One of a kind!

Judge Pollard was an outstanding judge and a fine man. I am deeply moved and saddened at his passing. He was a perfectionist on the bench and took detailed notes on cases. I appreciate his dedication to the profession and his willingness to mentor young lawyers coming up in his courtroom. He had a great smile and sense of humor, too. I was influenced by him in my development as a lawyer and can say I became a better lawyer and a better person from having known him. The world is a darker place without his presence. Requiescat in pace.
