Robert Brockman Obituary
Robert, affectionately known as "Brock", was a native of Dinwiddie, Va., and born to the late Herbert Lee and Evangelist Adele Marie Brockman.
He attended the Dinwiddie County Public Schools and was employed by Murphy Brown LLC. He was well loved by everyone that knew him.
Robert leaves to cherish his undying love and memories to his best friend and soul mate, Pamela Edmonds; his children, Brakia and Darien Brockman; his grandson, KeMari Blakes; an aunt, Joyce Nicholas; uncles, John Washington Green, Dennis Green Jr. (Clementine), Lee Green; best friend, Jeffrey Street, and a host of other relatives and close friends.
The family would like to extend a special "thank you" to the staff of SRMC; Dr. B Kondragunta and the Cancer Treatment Center of Petersburg.
A funeral service for Mr. Brockman will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011, at Mount Olivet Baptist Church, Petersburg, with the pastor, Rev. Wesley McLaughlin, officiating. Burial will follow at the Green family cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at the Petersburg chapel, 530 S. Sycamore St., Petersburg.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Joseph M. Johnson and Son Funeral Home, 804-863-4411.

Brock was one the nicest people I meet since I moved here from Louisiana eight years ago, he will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. Rest in peace Brock.

I met brock in 2007 @ central park that summer. Our motorcycles brought attention to us. That's when I found out that he was my cousin's husband. After that, I would see him in passing and we would talk motorcycle and truck driving jobs. His smile and friendly personality will be missed. I am sorry and sad that he's gone . I will miss seeing him when that nice day would come for that motorcycle ride. I am sorry for your lost cousin Pam. May god keep you and the kids strong during this sad time in your lives.

To my family, death is never easy to accept, but we know to be absent from the body is to be present with the LORD! Brock was truly one of a kind, It was always refreshing to here a man speak about his family with that special sparkle in his eye. He never met a stranger and we were blessed to share this space and time with him. May God keep you family at this time. He will be missed at the Classics this year.

Brock, you have been my big brother, my friend and I will always love. Even though we have not seen each other throughout the past few years, I have always kept you dear to my heart. To me he is known as Brock, and I say it that way because he will always be in my mind and heart. We shared time working to gather for quit a few years.
