Dorothy McCarthy Obituary

McCARTHY, DOROTHY L. (KILGALLEN), of Bryer Avenue, passed away Saturday. She was the beloved wife of William R. McCarthy for 54 years.

Born and raised in New Jersey, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Doris (Wright) Kilgallen. Mrs. McCarthy was a member of the Fleet Reserve Ladies Auxiliary, Branch 42. She was a communicant of St. Mark Church.

Besides her husband she leaves her children, Janice M. Balzer of Jamestown and David W. McCarthy of Danvers, MA; a sister, Agnes McCarthy of Waterbury, CT; and her three cherished granddaughters, Keleigh Fowler of Fall River, MA, Ashley M.B. Schipritt of Jamestown and Mikayla McCarthy of Danvers, MA.

Her Funeral will be held Wednesday at 8:45 a.m. from the FAGAN-QUINN Funeral Home, 825 Boston Neck Road, North Kingstown, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mark Church, 60 Narragansett Avenue, Jamestown. Burial will be in St. Mark Cemetery. Visiting hours Tuesday 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her memory to your favorite charity will be appreciated.
