JOHN COSTA Obituary
Born in Providence, he was the son of John Costa, Jr. and the late Della Marie (Rotondo) Costa. Mr. Costa was the President and owner of Primerate Lending and Lincoln Mortgage and had previously worked for Domestic Bank. He also had served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was the father of Lauren Costa, John Costa, IV, Roman Costa and Brian Bancewicz, Sr.; grandfather of Brian Bancewicz, Jr.; brother of Cheryl A. Costa, Rhonda J. Bell and Christine M. Bowder; loving partner to Regina Murray.
Visitation will be held Thursday 10 a.m. to 12 noon followed by a service at 12 noon in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Inurnment with Military Honors will follow in the Blessed Mother Mausoleum, St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. To express your condolences through our online guestbook, visit www.mem.com.

Hi Dad!
I hope you are having fun wherever you are...and keeping an eye on us. I miss you so much. It's been almost 6 months and I still cry myself to sleep sometimes because it's not fair.
I have to write a memoir for one of my classes about an event or day in our memory...haha, i'm writing about my first ride on Tower of Terror with you and how scared I was until you pointed out how cool those basketball players would think I was if I went on. I'll never forget that...it's still my favorite ride.
Miss you so much, and I have Spring Break next week so I'm going to come and visit you now that it's nice out again.

I am saddened by the news of John's passing. I was away in Canada for three months. I had the joy of growing up with John during my teenage years on New London Tpke.I particularly remember riding dirt bikes,doing goofy things,(Mr Chase's English Class)and experiencing high school together. I too was a member of the Class of 79. He was truly one of my closest friends during those formative years,and touched my life in such a positive way. I can see by the previous entries he continued to have a postive influence with all those he shared his life with.

I am so very sorry to hear of John's passing. I was just notified about it or i would of attended the wake.
I went to Coventry High School w/John, i am one year younger...but i will never forget just the nice person John was to everyone. I am shocked to hear of this very sad news.

John and I were friends back in the 70's around New London Trpk, Middle School and High School. He was the funniest kid, would crack everyone up ! He was also so outgoing and friendly, anyone from the Class of 79 knows what a great guy he was. Over the years if I ran into him he was exactly the same. I am so sad and so sorry for your loss...

John was always to me like Dean Martin -- the quintessential performer, always smooth and cool. We shared a lot of laughs at WCVY in high school, at dances and concerts and beyond. I will always have fond memories of him and offer his entire family my sympathies.

I grew up with all of the Costa's. We lived on Lion's Drive right up the hill from them. We were all very close when we were kids. Although I haven't seen John in years, I still remember the jokes he used to make with us and make us all laugh.
