Joseph Iachetti Obituary
of Pawtucket and formerly of Rumford died on December 15, 2017. He was the husband of the late Joan M. (Halpin) Iachetti and Dorothy (Fusi) Iachetti. He was the companion of Joanne Needham.
Mr. Iachetti was born in Pawtucket the son of the late Joseph and Iola (Ghiloni) Iachetti.
He owned and operated the Iachetti Painting Company for over fifty years. He was the Elks Chaplin of Rhode Island for many years.
He is survived by his twin sons, Joseph F. Iachetti and his wife Diane of Pawtucket and William C. Iachetti and his wife Linda of Rehoboth, Massachusetts. He also leaves his daughter Leanne F. Romani and her husband Garry of Johnston and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There will be a Mass of Christian burial for Mr. Iachetti on Tuesday, December 19th at 10:00 am in St. Teresa's Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket. His burial will be in Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Joseph's memory to Beacon Hospice, One Catamore Blvd, East Providence, RI 02914. For online condolences, please visit www.manningheffern.com.

To Joe's family, We have all faced illnesses but Joe was a role model for handling them with strength and optimism. He worked with me at the Family Outreach Center and everyone loved him! The Sisters he worked with thought he was a gift to both them and the Center. May he get the rest he deserved and be rejoicing with the family members who went before him as well as the heavenly hosts. You are all in our prayers.

My deepest condolences to the Iachetti family. Joe, Bibbles, Leanne your father was a wonderful, warm kind hearted man. He was an amazing great- grandfather to Erin and I wish he had the opportunity to meet Bailey before his passing. Unfortunately, Erin, Bailey and I will not be attending the services for Joe but we wanted you to know how sincerely sorry we are for all of you and if any of you would like to see Erin or meet Bailey during the holiday season, I'm sure they would love to see you all. Joe will be deeply missed and remembered for his gentle nature, love of his family, warm personality and big heart. When I told Erin this morning about Joe's passing she became teary eyed and said how nice and kind she thought her great grandpa was and that she will miss him, she also said she hopes her grandpa and uncles and aunts are okay. Wayne and I offer our condolences to all of you, Joe, Bill, and especially Leanne on the loss of your father. After thirty years of friendship, your family is like my family. I will miss how welcoming your dad was to me from day one when I showed up to go in the pool with a little one. He loved to cook out on his deck. When Wayne came along, even though he was "short", your family shared Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners with us. In the later years eventually we all blended together for 4th of July parties and card games. We've broken bread and celebrated birthdays and drank in limousines more than once! We have so many good times to remember. Your dad is at peace now. We wish we could be with all of you. You are family to us. Love and prayers, Irene and Wayne
