Loretta Hodges Obituary

HODGES, LORETTA M., 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, at the home of her daughter on January 30, 2013. She was the devoted wife of the late Bruce R. Hodges. Born in Lake Linden, MI she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Alexandrina (Gagnon) Venne. Mrs. Hodges was a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy Church, a long time member of Quidnessett Country Club, an avid bridge player and loved to golf and cook. She was the loving mother of Gail H. Gibson of Norridgewock, ME and Susan J. Hall of Narragansett and the loving grandmother of; Reid, Lisa, James, Annie and Jack. She was the sister of the late Florence, Arthur and Lawrence Venne. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 am in Our Lady of Mercy Church, 65 Third St., E. Greenwich. Calling hours are omitted. A private burial will take place in the RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to VNA of Care New England, 51 Health Lane, Warwick, RI 02886 or to the Narragansett Lions Club, PO Box 186, Narragansett, RI 02882.
