Scott Casey Obituary

CASEY, SCOTT P. 48 years old died suddenly Sunday evening December 13th at his home in Cranston. He was the beloved son of Robert J. and Eleanor M. (Kehoe) Casey and dear brother of Robert W. Casey. He leaves behind his loving companion, Lori Tiburcio, her son Joseph Tiburcio and her mom, Carolyn Sanita, all of Cranston. His cherished life will be missed by his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grand niece, cousins, in-laws and friends, all of which he made giggle and laugh. Also mourning his loss will be his fury babies Leila, Zoey and Mia. Scott was a graduate of Cranston High School East. He starting off working as a laborer. For years he worked as a custodian in the Cranston Public School System and delivered papers for the Providence Journal. He loved his Dunkin Donuts Coffee and enjoyed visiting his fellow morning friends at those establishments chatting and making people laugh. Scott was always ready to step in if someone needed help, healthcare, food, or anything. He had a loving and giving soul. We are all heartbroken by the loss of our so young and loving Scott. We will have our memories, love and laughter to remember him by. His wish would be laugh often, enjoy what you have and try to relax...because sometimes there is nothing else you can do but love. His funeral is Friday at 9:45 a.m. from "WOODLAWN" Funeral Home 600 Pontiac Avenue Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Matthew's Church, Cranston. I can't believe it has been 2 years since that fateful day. It was one of the most heartbreaking days of my life. My life has changed drastically since then. It feels like yesterday, I can remember that moment I got the phone call at Job lot and my brothers words that Scott isn't breathing. I felt a lump in my throat as I rushed to get my things and get to the house. I never did see you after that until the wake. It is just a very bitter memory. I know you are with the Lord now but I just wish you could have had more time with me. I miss you & will always Love you Scott

Auntie, Uncle and Robbie - I am so so sorry. I don't even have the words to express how I feel. I will always remember our Sunday dinners together after church. Scott had the funniest personality and was always great at making people laugh. I remember how he showed up at my mom's get together after her funeral in 2012 and he had just had neck surgery. He wasn't even supposed to be there. He was such a caring soul who will be missed tremendously. I pray for you all and love you so very much. I wish I could be there for he viewing/ funeral Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. I can't even imagine what you are going through. Love you, Dyan

Dear Lori, We're one of those neighbors that you never knew; but we grew to know you through Scott's kind words when he'd stop by our home on Clarence St.
We'd be mowing the grass and working in the yard as he passed by and we'd call out to him to see how he was recovering

My deepest condolences to Scott's family, friends and loved ones. I have known Scott for years but haven't been in touch in many of those years. However, I did just think of him about a month ago and was asking my sister about him. How strange it is when someone comes to mind like that and you don't reach out, then something like this happens. I pray that God grants you peace and strength in your time of sorrow. I wish I could express this to you in person but I live out of state now.
