Dorothy Grace Alfano (Costello) passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, June 26, 2025, a few weeks shy of her 100 birthday.
Dorothy was born July 17, 1925, in Pittson, daughter of the late Elizabeth and Norman Costello. Dorothy was the beloved wife of the late Angelo L. Alfano. Together, they shared 67 years of marriage and built a beautiful legacy of love and family
She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Dr. Salvatore Alfano and wife, Linda Alfano, of Camp Hill; daughter, Mariann (Alfano) Liberati, of Bethlehem; granddaughter, Angela (Alfano) Nadler and husband, Drew Nadler, of Rye, N.Y.; grandson, Dr. Peter Alfano and wife, Dr. Kimberly Alfano, of Enola; granddaughter, Elizabeth Liberati and husband, Christopher Shoemaker, of Bethlehem; grandson, Joseph P. Liberati IV and wife, Samantha Liberati, of Bethlehem; and great-grandchildren, Owen Nadler, Charlotte Nadler, Maximo Alfano, Dominic Alfano, Franco Alfano, Rocco Alfano, Grace Shoemaker, and Joseph P. Liberati V.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Angelo; her sister, Louise Costello; brother, Norman Costello; and son-in-law, Joseph P. Liberati III; and many cherished family members.
Dorothy dedicated her life to her family as a loving homemaker, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love, laughter, and faith. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dorothy will especially be remembered for her signature gentle reminder as part of every goodbye to "Take care of each other."
The family will receive guests from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, July 11, in Corpus Christi Parish at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 212 Memorial Ave., Exeter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. at Corpus Christi Parish at St. Anthony of Padua Church. Interment services will be private and held at the family's convenience. Dorothy will be laid to rest in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville, alongside her beloved husband, Angelo.

So sorry to hear of Dorothy's passing. She was such a sweet and kind lady!! We have such good memories of their visits at my Mom and Dad's!! A lot of happiness and fun!! Dorothy was alway SO welcoming to us in her home, when we were in Pittson. Dorothy and Angelo and the Club are all together again. God bless them always.

She can now be with Angelo, her family & the Club. I will always remember her & Angelo opening up their home to our entire family on different occasions!! Such wonderful & loving friends!!
