Donald Reitz Obituary

Donald James Reitz, 80, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Friday, Nov. 8, 2024, while at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
Donald was born on Aug. 31, 1944, to the late Donald Lee Reitz and Ruby Marie (Waltman) Bishop in Jamestown, Ohio. He graduated from Punxsutawney Area High School with the Class of 1964. Donald married the love of his life, Millie Karen (Hock) Reitz on Jan. 15, 1965, in Winchester, Virginia; Millie survives him.
He worked in welding and retired from Miller Welding in Brookville. He also retired from Pace Precision. He was the president of Barton Chapel Cemetery and the treasurer of the Sandy Branch Sportsman Club for many years.
In addition to his wife, Donald is survived by two children, MiLissa Marie Phillips and Donald Keith Reitz and his fiancé, Amy Vinosky; one sister, Sharon (Grover) Sharp; three grand-children, Nathan Phillips, Michael Phillips and Alexis Candace; six great-grandchildren, Joshua Phillips, Isaac Phillips, Kylie Phillips, Jaci Phillips, McKenna Phillips, and Jackson Phillips; and three step-great-grandchildren, Taylor Weaver, Taban Weaver and Troy Weaver.
In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in passing by a son, Joshua Reitz, and two brothers, Scott Reitz and Dennis Reitz Sr.
Donald's family wants to thank all Donald's doctors and nurses from Punxsutawney Area Hospital, Jackie and Jarod Stahlman, Andrea Verdill and Wesley Smith, MiLissa Phillips, Donald K. Reitz, all Donald's hospice helpers, Linda Reitz, and Shawn Adams.
All services will be held privately to the family and have been entrusted to the Fait – d'Argy Funeral Home, 117 N. Jefferson St., Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
