MILAN - Aaron DeSchaad Doyle, 74, Milan, IL passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024 at his home surrounded by family. Visitation will be from 4-7:00 PM on Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. The funeral service will be 10:00 AM on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Milan. Burial at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Preemption Township. Memorials may be made to the family to be used for a nursing scholarship at Eastern Iowa Community College (EICC).
Aaron was born on October 26, 1949 to Benjamin and Connie (Crouch) Doyle in Batesville, AR. He grew up in Rock Island and graduated from Rock Island High School. He then received degrees from Black Hawk and Marycrest Colleges before starting his career as an ER Nurse at Franciscan Hospital. Aaron later earned a Master's degree from St. Joseph's College of Maine. He began his over twenty-year career as a nursing educator at EICC before retiring. Post retirement, Aaron returned to nursing education as an adjunct instructor at Black Hawk College.
On November 17, 1973, Aaron was united in marriage to Rondi Mack in Matherville. The couple made their home in Milan where they raised their two daughters. They were members of St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
Aaron was a talented musician who played guitar and a variety of instruments in several local bands. He was also a car enthusiast owning many convertibles over the years. He was a dog lover and cared for them as they were members of the family, especially his beloved Bear. He was an active member of the community participating in local theater productions, volunteering for fundraisers and galas, and offering his musical talents for church services and celebrations. Aaron touched many lives and brought such joy and wisdom to everyone he met. He cherished all the time he spent with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Rondi; children, Brooke (Megan) Doyle, Brittany Doyle, Jennifer Meek, and Brandon Meek; siblings, Randy (Gabriele) Doyle and Teresa (Brian) Fry; five grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and niece, Annemarie Doyle Lloyd.

So sorry for your loss. I graduated from Black Hawk with Aaron, then worked with him on the rehab floor "5 south" at the old Franciscan hospital. Many memories....
