Francis "Frank" Michael Flynn, III

May 9, 1948-February 26, 2022

Francis Michael "Frank" Flynn, 73, of Moline, went home to Jesus on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Hope Creek Nursing & Rehab, East Moline.

A funeral service will be 1pm Thursday, March 3, at Rafferty Funeral Home, Moline. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Moline. Memorials can be made to Moline Community Church of the Nazarene.

Frank was born May 9, 1948 in Chicago, the son of Francis and Elizabeth (Carton) Flynn, Jr. He married Janice Loete on March 31, 1973 in Macomb.

Frank worked as a painter at International Harvester, East Moline. He was a 50 year member of Moline Community Church of the Nazarene, and walked with the Lord for 50 years.

Frank loved to read his Bible. As a young man he went to Europe twice, travelling alone. He enjoyed Southern Gospel music, The Carpenters, and history. His hobby was listing high and low temperatures, and going to the library weekly to read newspapers.

Survivors include his wife, Janice; sisters, Kathy Brennan, East Chicago, Mary Jane (Carlos) Fernandez, Chicago and Maureen Thompson, Naperville; 3 niece, 3 nephews and several great nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Furry. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Elizabeth "Betsy" Flynn.
