EAST MOLINE-Jerry Lee Richards, 92, of East Moline, IL, passed away July 7, 2023, at her home.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 15, at Van Hoe Funeral Home, East Moline. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, July 14, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Jerry was born November 27, 1930, in Tecumseh, Oklahoma, a daughter of Lester and Velma Dixson Scott. She graduated from UT High School, Class of 1948, and then from Moline Institute of Commerce. She married Arthur Lee Richards on February 17, 1951, at the First Baptist Church, East Moline.
In earlier years, Jerry worked at the former Community Savings & Loan, East Moline. She will be lovingly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was a self-taught computer expert. She taught computer skills at the Moline Senior Citizen Center. Jerry was an avid golfer and scored three hole-in-ones. She enjoyed playing cards and crocheting.
Surviving are her husband, Arthur, of East Moline; son and daughter-in-law, Bradly and Sherry Richards, Rapids City, IL; grandchildren, Melissa Richards, Boise, ID, and Tyler (Courtney) Richards, Bettendorf, IA; great grandchildren, Brandon, Kinley, Kerrigan and Hallie.
Jerry was preceded in death by one son, Kimberly Richards, and her parents.
