Mabel Melissa Dimitroff, 91, of Milan, passed away Tuesday April 1, 2025 at her home.

Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Coon Rapids, Iowa. No local services at this time.

Mabel was born on March 15, 1934 in Coon Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Ben and Beulah (Wine) Hart. She married George Dimitroff on June 16, 1957 in The Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa.

Mabel had been employed for 31 years at Jewel Food Store, as a service manager, retiring in 1999. Previously she had worked at the Rock Island County Clerk's office. After her retirement from Jewel, she was employed by the Rhythm City Casino for several years.

She was a member of the retirees group of Rock Island City Hall and AARP. Mabel loved flowers, camping and visiting the Boat.

Survivors include her husband, George; children, Pamela (Jamie) Frew, Sherrard, Daniel (Tamme) Dimitroff, East Peoria; grandchildren, Whittni McKinley, Tala Dimitroff and Mara Dimitroff.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Beulah; sister, Ruth Hart; brothers, Harold, Donald, Jack and Paul Hart.

So sorry for your loss. Mabel hired me at Jewel...she was a wonderful manager. I got to work with her for many years. She will be missed.
