Steven Brandmeyer Obituary

Steven Mark Brandmeyer

May 11, 1955 - November 15, 2024

Steven Mark Brandmeyer, age 69, a beloved husband, dad and poppy, left our world with his family by his side on November 15 th, 2024, after a short but courageous battle with pulmonary fibrosis.

He was born on May 11 th, 1955, in Moline, Illinois. He was the son of John and Patricia Brandmeyer. He grew up in Rock Island Illinois and graduated from St. Ambrose University in 1984. In 1980, he married the love of his life, Mindy (Ingold) Brandmeyer. Together they shared two beautiful daughters, Cara and Erica. When his daughters were young, he enjoyed coaching and supporting them in everything they did.

In his spare time, he was an avid Packer and St. Louis Cardinal fan. He tried to take up golf in his retirement, and while he enjoyed the people he golfed with, he didn't enjoy his score nearly as much. Every morning you could find him with his "coffee boys" at Wildfire Coffee. You could always count on him for an old-fashioned and a cigar. He also took great pride in his seasonal campsite at Evergreen Campground.

His greatest joy in life was his family, especially his grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kennedy and Owen. He loved watching Owen play football, basketball and baseball. Watching Kennedy sing and dance brought him great joy. There was nothing he wouldn't do to put a smile on Brooklyn's face, from dancing in her tik toks to countless hours at the pool.

He is survived by his wife, Mindy, daughters, Cara (Jon) Grishaber and Erica (Opie) Grishaber, his grandkids, Owen and Kennedy Grishaber, mom, Pat Brandmeyer, his brothers, John (Janna)

Brandmeyer, Bob (Roz) Brandmeyer, Tom (Deb) Brandmeyer, Bill (Marla) Brandmeyer, his sisters, Pam Postel, Mary Henning, Theresa (Bill) Coffenberry and Karen (Mike) Keleman, many nieces and nephews, and his best furry friend, Jordy Ray.

He was preceded in death by his dad, John Brandmeyer, his in-laws Lee and Bonnie Ingold, his brother-in-law Greg Ingold, brother-in-law Brad Postel, and his beloved granddaughter Brooklyn (Gigi) Grishaber.

A special thank you to his dear friends Brad and Debbie Siebers for not only their lifelong friendship, but their love and support during this difficult time.

His life was worth celebrating, so that we will! Please join us Saturday, November 30th at Holidays in Appleton. (3950 N. Richmond St, Appleton, WI 54913)

In lieu of gifts or flowers, please make a donation in his honor to the MACC Fund or the Spierings Cancer Foundation, two organizations near and dear to his heart!
