Jonathan Russell Obituary
David was born February 27, 1984, in Willcox, AZ. He attended school in Tucumcari and graduated in 2002. He attended New Mexico Highlands University in Las Vegas, NM, for 3 years and because of failing health he was unable to finish his education. He played baseball in high school and ran cross country. He loved to play the drums and played in his church, in school, and with different groups. He was also an accomplished singer, piano player, and composer. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Tucumcari.
He is survived by his wife, Teresa Sanchez who he married on February 5, 2007. He has an eleven month old daughter, Emily Juliet. Also surviving are his parents, Mike and Linda Russell of Tucumcari; his brothers, Larry of Seattle, WA, Aaryn of Austin, TX, and Dustin of Tucumcari; his grandparents, numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial services were held on Tuesday August 26, 2008, in the Assembly of God Church with Pastor Dereck Owen officiating at his services. Following the services there was a service of rememberance at the Russell Home west of Tucumcari. In keeping with the wishes of the family, cremation has taken place.
