Don Radech Obituary

Don R. Radech

April 1, 1952-March 25, 2021

DAVENPORT-Don Radech, of Davenport, passed away on March 25th, 2021 at the age of 68 at his home. Don was born to Richard and Lenora "Punky" Radech on April 1st, 1952 in Davenport, Iowa. He grew up as one of 5 children and attended Central High School where he graduated in 1971.

Don started his business Remodeling and Plaster Specialist in 1989. He liked to say he never advertised because his business stayed strong based only on referrals. He loved his work and while cancer slowed him down, he never stopped making home improvements around the house.

He married Jody Baker on April 10th, 1979. They had one child. They later divorced. He married Paula Parsons on June 30th 1989 in Davenport.

When he wasn't working, Don enjoyed watching the Bears with his buddy, Jeff Arnold, catching up with friends over a beer, golf, mowing the lawn and loved spending time with his grandson, Harry.

Don is survived by his wife, Paula, of Davenport; his son, Sean (Abbie) Radech of Rock Island; his Grandson, Harrison; his brothers Ron (Bobbi) Radech of Bettendorf; Bob (Emily) Radech of Yankton, South Dakota. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Mike Radech and sister Barb Radech.

Per Don's request, there will be no memorial or funeral. Please remember Don as the funny, loyal, hardworking family man and friend and know he was in his usual good spirit to the end.

The family would like to thank everyone for reaching out and offering their condolences.

My deepest condolences to Don's friends and family. Don and I first met when we sat next to each other in our 8th grade history class at Sudlow Jr. High School. I was proud to call him my friend and have great memories of times I shared with he and his brother Mike.

We were like brother and sister in high school
You had my back and I had yours
Years took us apart
But had a wonderful time catching up at the 65 th Birthday Bash
Keep that beautiful smile going
RIP

Paula I'm so sorry to hear about Don. I was shocked to see it in the paper. I was just thinking last night, our birthdays we're coming up. I always think of him on that day and try call. I just loved seeing you two together, you complimented each other so well and loved the stories you told at work. Especially the ones when you were rehabbing houses. You two had a great life and great memories. Keep them close to your heart always. I will keep you and Shawn in my prayers. If you need anything I'm a phonecall away. Much love and Big Hugs. Take care. Kim
