My heart can't reach the sadness that Howies brother's are going through. I have so many memories of him trying to keep us out of trouble, and yet being involved. I miss his laughter. Gone way to soon. My love

Sorry to see in todays (May 29,2025) Advocate News of the passing of "Howie " Hilton from Wilton. My condolences to his family and friends. I graduated from West Liberty in 1978 and played many basketball games against the Beavers back in those good old days.Enjoyed his competitive attitude on and off the court as well life's journey too.We stayed in touch through Facebook but never shared that glass of beer together ...my prayers and memories will now be remembrances. Rest in Peace My Friend! Jeff Owen

I am sorry that I missed the visitation. I didn't catch it in time. I loved Howie, I hung out with him when he lived in Moscow. He was a sweet and caring gentleman. He will be sorely missed in this world. Rip Howie, my thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Very sad to hear of Howie's death. Fond memories of playing basketball and baseball all those long summer days and nights in Moscow growing up. Then in H. S. continuing to compete together as team mates, having so much fun. Rest in peace my friend.

I am sorry to see Howie pass away. I used to have frequent meals with the Hilton family when I was living in Moscow and teaching band in Wilton (1966-1974). I did not know that he had served on the Wilton School Board (as his father also did) until I read his obituary. I had not seen him for a long time until my wife & I visited his mother, Marion, at her facility in Muscatine before she passed away a few years ago. It was so nice to see him there as he was such a good, kind person - so good to his mom. I am very sorry for his family and his fine brothers. I am sure he will be watching his family from his place in heaven.

Howie was a good friend and classmate. We were in a lot of the same classes, and we had a lot of fun together in band. I was able to see him fairly regularly while our sons were in the same grade in school, and I was disappointed when I learned he was moving away. I only recently heard that he had moved back, but I had yet to see him. I'm sorry I won't get that chance now. My deepest sympathy to the family. He will be missed.
