Silvis - Jamie Lynn Frits, 33, of Silvis, IL died Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, IA. A private service will be held on Saturday, January 16th at Gibson-Bode Funeral Home, Port Byron. Face masks and social distancing will be required. Private burial will be held at Oak Grove Cemetery, Port Byron.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center (QCAWC) in Milan where Jamie was a generous contributor of beds, toys, food and cash. Jamie loved animals and rescued a dog and two cats from there.
Jamie was born March 18, 1987, in Moline, IL, the daughter of David and Cathy (Taylor) Frits. She graduated from Riverdale High School in Port Byron, IL and attended Black Hawk College and Scott Community College.
Jamie was kind-hearted and often made fleece blankets and gifted them to friends and family as well as dog beds and toys to donate to the QCAWC. She enjoyed being creative by scrapbooking and making cards. Jamie collected movies, Converse shoes and loved all things Batman. She had a great sense of humor and was always quick with a funny observation or movie quote. Jamie made and sold homemade dog biscuits as a fundraiser for her upcoming kidney transplant. At Christmastime she would sell over 100 dozen.
Survivors include her mother, Cathy Frits, Silvis; brother, Jacob (Lindsay) Frits, Port Byron; a nephew and two nieces; grandmother, Janice Willard, Davenport; and special friend, Andrew Vosecky. She was preceded in death by her father, David Frits; grandmother, Jean Taylor; grandfather, William Frits and grandfather, Donald Willard. Share a memory or condolence at www.gibsonbodefh.com.

I wasn't fortunate enough to know Jamie but I came upon her obituary and I just wanted to say how kind she looks. I am genuinely so sorry for your loss.

It´s a sad time on 12th street Cathy. It seemed everything was looking up for her as she was up and happy. Like I said before we will miss her smiling face.
