Robert Gust Obituary
Robert Eugene Gust, aged 86, formerly of Wilton, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of his family in the Good Samaritan Society in Algona, Iowa. Born on November 22, 1938, in Davenport, Iowa, he was the son of the late Harry and Leila (Mumm) Gust.
Inurnment and graveside military honors by the Wilton American Legion Post #584 will be held to honor Bob at Melpine Cemetery in Muscatine, Iowa, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025.
He is survived by his children, Constanse "Connie" (Dale) Mechler of Algona, IA, and Diane (Tom) Long of Cedar Rapids, IA; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Joan, Hannah, Emily, and Brendon; his sister, Janet Beinke of Moscow, IA; and nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Susie; his daughter, Lara; his sister, Jeanne Sadler; and nephew, Eddie Beinke.
