Eileen Morris Obituary

Eileen Gail Morris
Ramona Eileen Gail Morris, 78, long time resident of Ramona, passed away on August 7th surrounded by her friends and family after a brief battle with cancer. Eileen was born on February 22, 1945 in Denver, Colorado. She spent her entire childhood in the same home on South Gilpin attending the local schools. Eileen attended South High, where she met and began dating David Lee Morris. They eventually married and settled down to raise a family in Ramona, California. Eileen spent her 20's and 30's as a homemaker and mother to her two children, Robert Alan and Jennifer Ann. Later, she worked for many years for Dr. Steven Shevinskya local dentist. After her retirement, she created a very active social life in Ramona. She walked every morning with her friends and spent her afternoons either playing cards, knitting or volunteering at the Ramona Library. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Margaret Brooks, and her husband, David Morris. Eileen is survived by her brother and sister, Bob Brooks and Marjorie Vickerman, her two children and their spouses, Rob Morris and Jennifer and Michael Edwards, and five grandchildren, Samantha and Margaret Edwards and Ryan, Kerry and Kimberly Morris. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no funeral. Rather, her family will spread her ashes along with those of her beloved David in the Colorado mountains they loved so much. Those wishing to honor her life can make a donation to the Ramona Food and Clothes Closet.
