Kenneth Taft Obituary

Ken passed on to his Heavenly Father, at home, surrounded by friends and with his partner in love and life, Vivian. Ken and his twin brother, Keith, were born in San Diego. Ken graduated from Madison High School. He learned auto mechanics and had a repair shop in San Diego. He moved to Ramona in 1989 where he first met Vivian at a meeting. They never dreamed that they were to be married in 2008 with a Commitment Ceremony at the home they shared beginning in 2006.
Ken had been a tow truck driver, working in the Julian and Borrego area, and lived in Julian until the Cedar Fire. Returning to live in Ramona, he later completed a college course in Alcohol and Drug Counseling. He worked in the field for awhile and then began a small business at home, repairing small engines on lawn equipment.
Ken was and is loved by many who knew him as a gentle man, kind, caring and a true friend. He will be missed by all who knew him
Ken is survived by his twin brother, Keith D. Taft; sister-in-law, Clare Taft; and niece, Rebecca Taft of Santee; his partner in life, Vivian Osborn Taft; and step-grandchildren, Jacy Osborn of Hope Mills, NC, Brittney Mackert of Phoenix, AZ, and Mackenzie Osborn and Morgan Osborn of Ponca City, OK. Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Iona Davies Taft, and father, Vernon "Dusty" R. Taft.
In Lieu of flowers, if you wish, please donate to the Elizabeth Hospice, Inc., 500 La Terraza Blvd., Ste. 130, Escondido, CA 92025.
