Dear Ellie and family
and Van van der Geest and family,
I will get a card in the mail today but wanted you to know that our Rapid City friends called to let us know about Ann's passing. We are so sad to have lost two good friends in Jack and Ann. We were at their wedding but cannot be there to say goodbye now. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Sincerely,
Raeanna and Walt Gislason

Dear Ellie and Family,
Rachel Barari called me last night to tell that your mom had passed and today I informed my mom. Aasa and I are both very sad and shocked.
Ellie, your mom and dad were of huge significance in our lives in Vermillion. They welcomed us and helped us make our new home in our new country. While there, we shared many fun, unforgetable and wonderful times. Your mom, Ann, was an amazing lady with enormous strength and ability.
We wish you comfort and happiness in all that she has taught you and accomplished for you. She was so proud of you, Ellie.
May you always keep joy in your heart with the dear memories of your mom and find solace in each other and in your faith.
Thank you, Anna, for our time together. You were indeed a special and remarkable lady. We will never forget you and your generosity.
God bless all of you.
With fond memories,
Aasa Jensen and Vibeke Jensen

Ann was a beautiful lady in the finest sense of the word. Her kind and generous heart made her easy to love. She adored Jack, and his passing left her very lonely, but she tried to fill the emptiness with time spent with her loving friends and family. After Jack's passing, Ann continued their tradition of attending the yearly Passover seder at the Synagogue of the Hills, volunteering with preparation of the seder meal. A shining light has been taken from our lives. I will miss Ann always.
