He was the husband of Sandra A. (Hojnowski) Consentino, with whom he celebrated 42 years of marriage.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late John and Sara (Dastra) Consentino.
Mr. Consentino was a 1955 graduate of Reading High School.
He was employed from 1956-1994 for the City of Reading Water Bureau, he then went on to be the Executive Director for Reading Water Authority. He thoroughly enjoyed working and openly communicating with public sectors and business professionals.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a son: John A. Consentino, at home.
Anthony was a warm, loving guy who tried to live each day to the fullest. He enjoyed cooking, fishing with his son, John, walking and being poolside or at the beach. In previous years he enjoyed playing saxophone with Luchie Long and the Rockets and other local groups.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to National Foundation for Cancer Research, 4600 East-West Hwy., Suite 524, Bethesda, MD 20814.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at 10 a.m. in St. Catharine of Siena RCC, 2330 Perkiomen Ave., Mt. Penn. Friends will be received from 8:15-9:15 a.m. at Bean Funeral Homes, 6 Fairlane Rd., Reading. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Mausoleum.
