Bernice White

Bernice White, 84, of Hamburg, passed away on Friday, June 3, 2022. She was the wife of Sherwood F. White, who died February 19, 2015. Born in Chorley, England, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Olive (Normington) Green. Bernice was a nurse for the BCIU for more than twenty years retiring in 1992. She was an active member of Bethany United Church of Christ, Hamburg. Bernice was also active in her community and was a member of the Senior Citizens and the widows/widowers group. Bernice is survived by her children: Christopher White, San Diego California; and Hilary E. White, Harrisburg; two grandchildren: Nathan J. White and Aurora I. White; and three great-grandchildren: Aaidan, Harper Sky and Abigail. She is also survived by one brother: Russell White, husband of Susan, Lancashire, England; niece: Lisa; and nephew: Kieron; and sister-in-laws: Doris, Gladys, Rose and Barbara. Bernice was predeceased by her son: Adrian J. White, who died October 17, 1991. Services will be held on Monday at 7:00 pm at Leibensperger Funeral Homes, Inc., 65 S. 4th Street, Hamburg (off street parking in rear).
