Our sympathies and prayers go to Cousin David's family. He played an important role in helping us get our marriage license in 1981. I also remember borrowing a book he brought back from Germany after the war to use for a German Class report. I truly appreciated seeing him at my father's funeral earlier this year, so sorry I can't be at his.

To the Batdorf family,
Dave was an exceptional man. A terrific lawyer, committed public servant, and devoted Democrat he was above all to me a friend. He counseled me on matters of mutual concern and always had time to answer the many questions I had. He had a deep sense of history,Berks County traditions and was an astute judge of people. After leaving office I would talk to him about sports, kids and grandchildren. He loved his family and never missed an opportunity to tell me how proud he was of them. I will miss him and extend my sincere condolences to his family on his passing. Berks County has lost a great man. May he rest in eternal peace.
