Eric was one of the nicest people I ever knew. He always made a point to care about you or ask if he could help you. I will miss him. I was a past firefighter and officer at Ruscombmanor Fire Company.

Eric was my much younger cousin of almost fourteen years. We were a half generation apart while growing up but because of the caring love of Eric's parents - Jerry and Beau- my dear Aunt and Uncle -we shared many good times through the years -4th of July picnic pool parties at his house and Christmas get-togethers at my house. He always made a "fuss" over my Shoo Fly Pie and that delighted me.He never refused any of my crazy requests such as "Can I bring my 3 year old grandson out to play in the creek and make a mess in the middle of your busy workday? or Would you drive me and another cousin to Allentown to revisit childhood vacation memories with our grandmother at her bungalow on Adam's Island?"He did not have those memories as he was too young then but he took us just the same and even stopped for supper on the way home. Eric made so many quality life choices. How did he so humbly and quietly manage to do that? His determined fight against cancer throughout the past five years with the loving support of Eva and Cordell was simply heroic. Eric, rest in serene peace surrounded by the love of relatives and friends from the past and may you be aware of the presence of the Lord by your side for eternity. With my love,
