Gary is survived by his wife and best friend, Mary B. (Mercer) Gamler; and his stepchildren, Derek K. Rosenberry, a second-year student of ceramics at Alfred University, and Kali K. Rosenberry, a senior at Boyertown High School and accepted at Penn State University main campus, whom he loved, adored and was ever so proud of.
Gary was born in Pottstown on Oct. 21, 1960, to the late Arline G. (Gehris) Gamler and the late Clarence M. Gamler. He was predeceased by his oldest brother, Bruce, and is survived by his brothers: Al, husband of Linda, Glen, husband of Heidi, and Todd, husband of Ursula.
He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Stephanie, Tiffany, Rachael, Alex, Chad and Ryan; his sister-in-law, Ginny Gamler; and special friend of the family, Betty Rhoads. Memories of Gary will also be cherished by his in-laws, Robert and Kathleen Seidel and David "Butch" and Diane Mercer, as well as his brother-in-law, Robert E. Seidel Jr.
Graduating from Boyertown High School in 1978, he began a career in auto parts sales with the last 14 years at Boyertown Automotive (NAPA). Gary was also enjoying a new career in real estate, beginning six years ago at Herb Real Estate in Gilbertsville, and for the last 17 months as a member of the Keller Williams Realty Group family in Limerick.
His real estate career led to acknowledgement through obtaining his ABR distinction and participation as a Montgomery County Association of Realtors board member, an ALC-Keller Williams board member, and a member of this year's Tri-County Chamber of Commerce Leadership Group.
Both of these careers had proven to be great passions in Gary's life, providing him with much fulfillment, fond memories and valued friendships.
Gary grew up celebrating fellowship and God at New Hanover Lutheran Church in New Hanover, Pa. Gary's loyalty could always be found each Friday and Saturday night for an undetermined amount of years as a pit crew member for the Jeff Strunk race team, and in more recent years as a devoted fan. His passion and love for the game of golf led him to membership at Brookside Country Club in Pottstown, and the wonderful friends that will always be cherished.
Many words, such as gentle, loving, caring and loyal can be used to describe Gary, but none can reflect the patience, dedication and understanding that he put forth to each and every person that came into his life.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Friday, May 28, 2010, at 11 a.m. from Morning Star Fellowship, 100 Limekiln Road, Bechtelsville, PA 19505 and to his visitation on Friday morning from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at Morning Star Fellowship.
Memorial contributions in Gary's memory for his children's education can be made directly to his family.
